Expressing ourselves creatively is a human need.
It is linked to happiness, less anxiety, open-mindedness, resilience, and overall well-being. And it is fun! Yet, too often creativity is seen as nice but unnecessary in your every day. Or, worse, it is only for certain people – ‘creative types’. We are all creative and we can all grow our creativity and use it in every aspect of our lives.
Growing your creativity in one area (such as painting) will help your creativity in other areas grow too. So, learning to paint (or knit..or cook..) can actually help other areas in your life, such as managing your busy family with less stress, planning a birthday party, or starting your side business. It will open your mind to new possibilities, help you relax, and, most importantly, it will be fun!
